oxygen

(O)
(element, O, atomic number 8)

Oxygen (O) is the element with atomic number 8, symbol O. Its most common isotope has mass number 16, but 17 and 18 are also stable. It is the third most common element in the universe. The Milky Way is about 1% oxygen by mass. Its nuclei are the product of the CNO cycle and neon burning.
