OB star
(a hot star with class O or early B)
The term OB star is a classification to include O-type stars plus
either all B-type stars or just the early ones, i.e.,
a term for the hottest stars, but a bit broader than just the O class.
Some surveys cover stars of this broader classification.
Stellar associations where such stars form and commonly
reside are termed OB associations, the end of the OB stars'
short lives generally arriving before the association has dispersed.
