(red dwarf that is the twelfth nearest star system)
Lacaille 9352 (Lac 9352 or GJ 887) is the twelfth-closest
star system to Earth.
It is a red dwarf, and has the fourth highest known
proper motion of any star as viewed from Earth, 6.9 arcseconds per year.
In 2020, three extra-solar planet candidates were announced
to be orbiting it (uncovered using the RV method),
two of them within the star's habitable zone.
