Lacaille Star Catalog

(Lac)
(1700s catalog of about 10,000 southern hemisphere stars)

I use the term Lacaille Star Catalog to indicate the star lists produced in the mid 1700s by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille, particularly on a trip to the southern hemisphere. He produced a number of lists, one of nearly 10,000 stars, and some stars are still identified by numbers from his lists.
