VLT Survey Telescope

The VLT Survey Telescope (VST)
is an 2.6-meter reflector telescope for surveys,
housed next to the ESO VLT
at the Paranal Observatory on the Atacama Desert in Chile,
which began operation in 2011.
It includes adaptive optics.
It has a field of view of 1 square degree and hosts just
one instrument, a 268-megapixel imager called OmegaCAM.
