Isaac Newton Telescope

(2.5-m telescope in Canary Islands)
The Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) is a 2.54-m
reflector telescope at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (ORM) in the Canary Islands.
It is one of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes (ING), which also includes the William Herschel Telescope (WHT).
INT was rebuilt at ORM in 1984 after earlier operation
in England that began in 1967.
As of 2025, INT is currently not carrying out observation, dedicated
to the commissioning of the new a high resolution spectrograph, HARPS3 (for the
Terra Hunting Experiment) with hopes of resuming operation in
2025 or 2026.
