Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory

The Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory (FLWO ) is an Amado, Arizona
observatory operated by
the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO ).
It was previously known as the Mount Hopkins Observatory (MHO ),
but renamed for the SAO director who established it.
Among its telescopes :
MMT is at Mount Hopkins' summit at 2616 meters,
and the other telescopes are at 2340 meters.
