Lick Observatory Supernova Search
(LOSS)
(search for supernovae for cosmological study)
The Lick Observatory Supernova Search (LOSS)
was carried out on the
Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT) beginning in 1998.
The goal was measurement of Hubble parameter
over time using observations of Type Ia supernovae.
The LOSS effort has since combined forces with Tenagra Observatory
to form
the Lick Observatory and Tenagra Observatory Supernova Searches (LOTOSS).
