The Hat Creek Radio Observatory is a radio observatory near Redding, California, which is the home of the Allen Telescope Array. The observatory dates from the 1950s (early days of radio astronomy) and among its telescopes were an 85-foot radio telescope built in the 1960s, and the BIMA telescope built in the 1980s, both now defunct. The BIMA dishes were shipped to Cedar Flat to become part of CARMA.
