Víctor M. Blanco Telescope

The Víctor M. Blanco Telescope (Blanco 4m) is a 4-meter reflector telescope at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO), Chile. It was modeled after the Mayall 4m Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO) and began operation in 1976, and like the Mayall 4m, it has an equatorial mount. Instruments:

• DECam - Dark Energy Camera.
• NEWFIRM - wide-field NIR imager.
