Aditya-L1

Aditya-L1 is an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) spacecraft launched September 2, 2023 to study the Sun from a halo orbit at Earth-Sun Lagrangian point L1, a useful and common orbital location for such studies. It will study the corona (it includes a coronagraph) and also has in situ instruments to study the solar wind and magnetic field. Instruments:

• VELC - Visible Emission Line Coronagraph.
• SUIT - Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope.
• SoLEXS - Solar Low Energy X-ray Spectrometer.
• HEL1OS - High Energy L1 Orbiting X-ray Spectrometer.
• ASPEX - Aditya Solar Wind Particle Experiment.
• PAPA - Plasma Analyzer Package for Aditya.
• MAG - Advanced Tri-axial High Resolution Digital Magnetometers.
