The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO)
is a spacecraft launched by NASA in 2010 to study the Sun,
with hopes of 5 to 10 years of observation.
It is in geosynchronous orbit.
Instruments:
It remains active in 2024, and is expected to continue into 2030.
