Milky Way chemical evolution
(process of the development of metals in the Milky Way)
Milky Way chemical evolution models
are being developed using survey
data covering a distribution of stars (including their
metallicity), gas, and dust
in representative portions of the Milky Way.
Synthesis of metals is assumed to occur
in stars and supernovae.
