MKO photometric system
(Mauna Kea Consortium photometric system)
(2000s system covering near infrared)
The MKO photometric system is a photometric system
of near infrared passbands/filters designed for effective
use of atmospheric windows given the typical altitude of modern
research telescopes. MKO stands for Mauna Kea Observatories, and the group
of organizations agreeing upon the standard is termed
the Mauna Kea Consortium.
