Luyten Palomar Survey

(LP, Palomar Proper Motion Survey)
(1970s catalog of stars with high proper motion)

The Luyten Palomar Survey (or Luyten Palomar Catalog, and abbreviated LP) is a catalog of stars with high proper motion created using the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS) plates along with some additional Palomar 48 plates taken specifically for this survey. This catalog predated the Luyten Half-second Catalog (LHS) and New Luyten Two-Tenths Arcsecond Catalog (NLTT).
