LasDamas (for Large Suite of Dark Matter Simulations) is a project to simulate dark matter and its effect on the distribution of matter in the universe. It is an inter-university collaborative effort. The simulations begin with initial conditions according to an initial fluctuation spectrum, and continue using N-body simulation (GADGET-2) for subsequent evolution, with analysis of the resulting "universe" to compare its statistics with corresponding statistics from surveys. Among the project's products are mock catalogs of galaxies and their dark matter halos.
