is a radio observatory
in north-west England. Telescopes include:
- Lovell Telescope (Mark I, 76 meters)
- Mark II (MKII) (38 meters × 25 meters elliptical antenna)
The very-long-baseline interferometry (VLBI) array, MERLIN is operated from JBO.
