JADES

(JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey)
(JWST deep survey of GOODS survey fields)

JADES (for JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey) is a James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) survey to apply its technology toward observing deep fields, specifically, GOODS-North and GOODS-South. It brings JWST's infrared detection ability to further-searching these fields. It began in JWST's first year of operation with the intention of years of observation. As of 2024, it has uncovered redshift record-holders for distant galaxies.
