Hawaii K-band Galaxy Survey
(Hawaii Survey, Hawaii Deep Survey)
(near-infrared survey of a selection of fields)
The Hawaii K-band Galaxy Survey from the 1990s
was a near-infrared astronomical survey of select
survey fields using IRCAM on United Kingdom Infrared Telescope (UKIRT) and NICMOS3 on the
UH88 telescope, with photometry including the K band
and optical bands and follow-up spectrography
using 2dF on the Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT).
Distant galaxies were discovered, inducing further study.
