The Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC, aka Gran Tecan) is a 10.4 meter segmented-mirror reflector telescope at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory (ORM) in the Canary Islands. It is currently (2019) the largest single-aperture optical telescope in the world. It opened in 2009.
