Giant Segmented Mirror Telescope

The initials GSMT, for Giant Segmented Mirror Telescope, were used within an early (largely US) effort toward developing an extremely large telescope. The initiative eventually supported advancement of the Thirty Meter Telescope and Giant Magellan Telescope.
