GRS 1915+105
(stellar-mass black hole microquasar)
GRS 1915-105 is an X-ray binary detected by GRANAT
X-ray satellite's WATCH instrument in 1992. The accreting
compact object is a stellar-mass black hole which is a microquasar
(i.e., a black hole displaying characteristics of a quasar,
only at a smaller scale). Jets have been detected.
It is of research interest as one of the few such systems identified.
