Cos-B

(1970s satellite for studying gamma rays)

Cos-B was a European gamma-ray space telescope. It was launched by NASA in 1975 on behalf of the European Space Research Organisation (ESRO). It completed its primary mission of 2.5 years, and the mission was then extended to 1982.
