CASA-MIA

(1990s cosmic-ray detector in Utah)

CASA-MIA was a ultra-high energy cosmic-ray (UHECR) detector in Utah operating during the 1990s. The aim was detection of cosmic-ray particles with energies above 100 TeV. CASA-MIA referred to a pair of detectors:

Three other related experiments operated at the same time and place:

The location is that of an earlier cosmic-ray experiment called Fly's Eye and the later experiment, HiRes.
