(red dwarf that is the twelfth nearest star system)
Lacaille 9352 (Lac 9352) is the twelfth-closest
star system to Earth.
It is a red dwarf, and has the fourth highest known
proper motion of any star as viewed from Earth, 6.9 arcseconds per year.
In 2019, three extra-solar planet candidates were announced
to be orbiting it (uncovered using the radial velocity method),
two of them within the star's habitable zone.
