THESEUS
(Transient High Energy Sky and Early Universe Surveyor)
(plan for X-ray/Gamma-ray transient space mission)
THESEUS (for Transient High Energy Sky and Early Universe Surveyor)
is a concept for a future ESA space observatory for
recording transients including gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and X-ray bursts,
to be launched in the early 2030s.
As of 2024, THESEUS is a candidate for a future mission;
it was previously a candidate for an earlier future mission,
but an unrelated proposal was chosen instead.
