Spektr-RG
(SRG, SXG, Spectrum-X-Gamma)
(Russian-German X-ray observatory launched in 2019)
Spektr-RG (SRG) is a German/Russian X-ray
space observatory launched in July 2019
for observation from the L2 Lagrangian point.
Instruments:
In early 2022 with advent of the Ukraine war, German/Russian
cooperation with ceased and eROSITA is presumed shut down.
The name SPEKTR-RG was earlier used for a planned spacecraft
in the 1990s which was canceled and never deployed.
It was to have the following instruments:
- JET-X (X-ray telescope).
- SODART (X-ray).
- FUVITA ("far ultraviolet imaging telescope array").
- TAUVEX ("Tel Aviv UV experiment").
- MART-LIME (UV).
- MOXE (X-ray).
