RAMBO (for robust association of massive baryonic object) is a 1990s proposed dark matter element consisting of a stellar association of stars sufficiently dim that observations miss them (which stars could be termed MACHOs). Brown dwarfs and white dwarfs are generally too dim to be observed from a distance, and exist virtually forever, so such an association should persist. M dwarfs can also be so dim as to be difficult to detect at kpc distances.
