PSR B1259-63
(pulsar part of an eclipsing binary)
PSR B1259-63 is a pulsar that is a member of
an eclipsing binary with an O-type star, LS 2883.
The orbit, which has an orbital period of 1237 days is
eccentric, and aligned so the pulsar undergoes a 40-day
eclipse.
The pulsar's pulse period is about 48 ms.
