Parkes Catalog
(PKS)
(catalog of from 1960s-1990 of radio sources in southern hemisphere)
The Parkes Catalog (PKS) is
an astronomical catalog from a radio
survey of the southern hemisphere
by the Parkes Observatory.
It was first published in 1969 based on a 408 MHz survey,
and later enhanced with observation data at 2650 MHz, 1410 MHz
and other frequencies.
The survey discovered numerous radio galaxies,
some still commonly referred to by their PKS designation.
