New Catalogue of Suspected Variable Stars

(NSV)
(catalog from latter half of 20th century catalog)

The New Catalog of Suspected Variable Stars (NSV) is an astronomical catalog of 14000 such stars published in the 1980s and supplemented in the 1990s, produced at Moscow State University. These are follow-ons to an earlier Catalogue of suspected variable stars of circa 1951. A revised version of the NSV termed NSV Release 2 was made available online in 2022.
