NGC 7727
(irregular galaxy with two SMBHs)
NGC 7727 is a peculiar galaxy
(listed in the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies)
about 89 million light-years' distant.
It shows evidence of a recent galaxy merger,
such as some stellar streams.
A pair of central supermassive black holes (SMBHs) has been detected, an expected
result of a merger, and not many galaxies have been determined to
have such a pair.
