(former research funding and coordination organization)

The NASA Astrobiology Institute (NAI) was a unit within NASA to promote and coordinate the study of astrobiology through communications, coordination and funding of research. The unit was formed in 1998 and dissolved in 2019. The research was carried out by collaborations of university and other institution researchers.
