MITgcm (MIT General Circulation Model) is a General Circulation Model developed by MIT, used for Earth Atmosphere and ocean modeling. It uses the Finite-Volume Method (FVM), a method analogous to the Finite Difference Method for solving differential equations. SPARC-MITgcm is MITgcm incorporating the SPARC (Substellar and Planetary Atmospheric Radiation and Circulation) Three Dimensional Model which includes a Wavelength-aware Radiative Transfer Model. http://mitgcm.org/ http://mitgcm.org/2012/09/04/strange-new-worlds/ Referenced by: General Circulation Model (GCM) |
