Mimir
(multi-function near-infrared instrument on Perkins Telescope)
Mimir is a
1-5 micron near-infrared instrument
for imaging, spectroscopy, and
polarimetry, covering bands
J, H, K, L, and M.
It is on the Perkins Telescope at Lowell Observatory
in Arizona.
A major project has been the
Galactic Plane Infrared Polarization Survey
(GPIPS) which offers information about the Milky Way's
magnetic field.
