The MaNGA Stellar Library (MaStar) is a catalog of the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) and stellar parameters of a set of 12,000+ representative stars. It is intended to serve as a resource for characterizing the galaxies of the SDSS IV MaNGA survey through stellar population synthesis, and the library is potentially useful for similar analysis and categorization associated with other projects. SEDs for the stellar library were collected using SDSS IV APOGEE-2 data.
Marvin is a Python-based API for MaStar. Developed with it is a web interface providing access to the library.
