LHAASO
(Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory)

LHAASO (for Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory)
is a gamma-ray/cosmic-ray observatory
in the Tibetan mountains in China, located at an altitude of
4,400 meters. It consists of large pools of water with
sensors for Cherenkov radiation from the products
of air showers.
