Las Cumbres Observatory

Las Cumbres Observatory (LCO) is a world-wide network of telescopes with apertures in the 40 cm to 2 m range (Together they are known as LGOGT, for Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope). They are operated robotically, scheduled as a group, and can carry out continuous multi-day observations. Currently the network has seven sites spread throughout the world. The individual sites each have one to five telescopes. Some of the types of instruments:

• Sinstro - optical imagers (on 1 meter telescopes).
• NRES - high-resolution (i.e., 50000) spectrographs (on 1 meter telescopes).
• SBIG STX-6303 - optical imagers (on 40 cm telescopes).
• MuSCAT3 - four-channel optical imager.

Note: abbreviation LCO is also used for Las Campanas Observatory.
