IPS Telescope

(Interplanetary Scintillation Monitoring Telescope, Interplanetary Scintillation Telescope, interplanetary scintillation observation telescope, IPS Observation Telescope)
(radio telescope in China to monitor space weather)

I use the name IPS Telescope for a radio telescope in China for monitoring space weather, IPS for Interplanetary Scintillation. It is an array spanning three China locations, the largest element of the three consisting of three parabolic cylindrical telescopes, each 140×40 m. The IPS Telescope monitors radio transients at 327 MHz, 654 MHz, and 1400 MHz, aiming to determine solar wind speed. The telescope is part of the Meridian Project, a Chinese effort to monitor and study space weather.
