(Osiris)
(hot Jupiter discovered in 1999)
HD 209458 b is a transiting hot Jupiter orbiting
a G-type star (1.15 solar masses) in a 3.5-day orbit.
The planet was discovered in 1999 by the radial velocity method,
by two groups, and transit and direct imaging
observations have been successful,
making it of interest for further study.
