HD 163296
(YSO with gaps in its protoplanetary disk)
HD 163296 is a Herbig AeBe star, which is a type of young stellar object (YSO).
HD 163296 has a protoplanetary disk showing gaps such
that it consists of rings, making it of research interest.
Analysis of this structure has suggested the presence of extra-solar planets.
Considerable work has gone into attempting to model a set of planets
that would produce the observed gaps.
Characteristics:
(star,PMS star,exoplanets)
