Godunov scheme
(Godunov's scheme, Godunov method)
(computational fluid dynamics method)
The Godunov scheme
is a method for calculating solutions to fluid dynamics partial differential equations.
It is similar to (or a variant of) the finite volume method (FVM).
It has the advantage of being able to incorporate certain
efficient approximation algorithms to deal with the
boundaries between volumes.
