GERLUMPH (for GPU-Enabled, High-Resolution, cosmological Microlensing parameter survey) is a system of hardware and software designed to calculate light curves of theoretical gravitational microlensing events, for the purpose of building a library of such light curves to compare with observation. It incorporates hardware (GPUs for graphic information processors) developed for producing the graphics of computer games and computer animation, making use of their ability to carry out extreme amounts of computation.
