Galactic Emission Mapping

(GEM)
(radio sky survey)

The GEM project (for Galactic Emission Mapping) was a radio survey carried out on two telescopes, a 5.5-m telescope in Brazil (GEM Brazil project) covering the southern hemisphere, and a 9-m telescope in Portugal (GEM Portugal project) covering the northern. A major purpose was to help uncover the CMB foreground.
