Galileo Observatory

The Galileo Observatory was an aircraft-mounted telescope in operation in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The aircraft was a Convair 990. It was destroyed in a mid-air collision in 1973 and was replaced by the Kuiper Airborne Observatory (KAO).
