FLASH

(hydrodynamic simulation system)

FLASH is physical simulation code produced by the Flash Center for Computational Science at the University of Chicago, more recently maintained at the University of Rochester. It is capable of three dimensional models and magnetohydrodynamics. The code has been used to simulate various phenomena including astrophysics, among them Type Ia supernovae. It is basically in Fortran, including some Python-based scripting.
