Europa Lander

(plan for a late 2020s Europa probe landing on the surface)

The Europa Lander is a space mission plan under study that would land a craft on the surface of Jupiter's moon, Europa. It would be a follow-up to the Europa Clipper, and a primary goal would be searching for biosignatures. An early concept was to launch it with the Space Launch System (SLS) in 2025 to arrive at Jupiter around 2030, but by 2020, 2030 was said to be the earliest possible launch date, and as of 2024, I imagine that is unlikely.
