EURECA
(European Retrievable Carrier)
(1990s ESA satellite with a number of experiments)
EURECA (for European Retrievable Carrier) was an ESA
satellite launched in 1992 and retrieved in 1993 by NASA Space
Shuttle missions.
It carried a number of experiments, of which some
of the astronomy-related were:
- SOVA - Solar Constant and Variability Instrument.
- SOSP - Solar Spectrum Instrument.
- TICCE - Timeband Capture Cell Experiment.
- WATCH - Wide Angle Telescope for Cosmic Hard X-rays.
