COCONUTS
(Cool Companions on Ultrawide Orbits)
(survey to image companions of stars)
COCONUTS (for Cool Companions on Ultrawide Orbits) is an
astronomical survey to discover extra-solar planets and other stellar
companions, such as brown dwarfs, through direct imaging.
Among its achievements is determining that a presumed brown dwarf
companion termed WISEPA J075108.79-763449.6 has sufficiently low
mass to catagorize it as an exoplanet, termed COCONUTS-2b.
