The Berkeley Extreme and Far-UV Spectrometer (BEFS)
was an instrument on the ORFEUS Telescope,
a 1 meter telescope used during two Space Shuttle science missions,
ORFEUS-SPAS 1 in 1993 and ORFEUS-SPAS 2 in 1996.
